Our Story

Bernice, the founder of Buttons and Wicks, came across an Instagram reel and was mesmerized by the de-molding of a candle. She had always loved creating things, so she began to do research on how to make candles.

Bernice was a local food blogger on Instagram. No matter how many scents she had created, it always led her back to food/drink related scents. So, this is the main reason for our scent line up.

The name Buttons and Wicks came to be, not because we sell buttons. BW is Bernice's initials and her grandfather used to have a Button company. She wanted a meaningful name to her new venture, so that is how the name Buttons and Wicks was created.
